Lyra and Nellie are the best of friends, and wrestle and play all the time. Lyra is getting more comfortable every day. She has been trying all sorts of new “treats” because my parents have been in town and my dad loves to feed the dogs people food. 
(Bad parents!) She really likes almonds, maltballs, and any sort of cheese. She has let me trim most of her nails, and is going voluntarily into her kennel now when we leave and ask her to “kennel up”. She has been sitting on command this last week, and is learning down too! She’s been meeting lots of new people and some other dogs. She’s still shy of petting, although she’ll let us pet her if we have treats, or at bedtime. Attached are some photos…
